JSL has successfully designed and tested over 450 Lattice Towers and Monopoles up to 1200 KV for various domestic and international utilities. Its Tower Testing Station in Ghoti, near the Nashik Manufacturing Plant, equipped with modern tools is accredited by the National Accrediation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL)


General Facilities:

• The main test pad accommodates square and rectangular towers

• The auxiliary test pad accommodates square towers and enables simultaneous testing of two towers at short intervals.

• The Derrick Crane, , ensures speedy and effortless tower erection.

• The loading masts, enable efficient testing.

• Load Cells offer a wide range from 5 MT to 100 MT, for precise load measurements. Electronic strain gauge-type with temperature compensation and IP-67 protection for all-weather performance.

• A centrally located control room, equipped with high-precision digital load indicators, variable speed inverters, and two observation galleries for close monitoring during testing.

• A fabrication unit for manufacturing tower parts and ensuring rapid re-testing in case of premature failure.

• Certification:ISO-9001 certified by NQA-QSR, accredited by RVA (DUTCH COUNCIL FOR ACCREDITATION), for maintaining a high-quality management system.


Additional Features:

  • Deflection of the tower during testing is measured and recorded at various levels using optical instruments.
  • Wireless communication facilitates coordination between various points during tower testing.
  • Video shooting of tower testing and CCTV facilities are available.
  • An online UPS ensures power backup for the control room.
  • A D.G. set with a capacity of 250 KVA provides round-the-clock power backup for the entire station.
