Graduate Engineer Trainee
Job Description

Planning Engineer
Job Description
5 - 10 years of experience in project planning and engineering within the power transmission line.
Responsibilities
- BE/ Tech in Civil / Electrical related field. PMP certification is plus.
- Proven experience in project planning, scheduling, and resource optimization.
- Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy. Familiarity with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in power transmission line design and construction.
- Develop detailed project plans, construction schedules, outlining the scope and objectives of the project and resource allocation strategies to ensure the efficient and timely execution.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure that materials, equipment, and services are delivered according to project requirements, quality standards, and timelines.
- Proactively report deviations, delays and expected variances to schedule to the project management office and all related stakeholders.
- Ensure that costing and billing processes comply with contractual agreements, client requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Collaborate with legal and contract management teams to address cost-related contractual matters, including payment terms and conditions.
- Carry out delay analysis, prepare claims in case of deviation from schedule.

Surveyor - Transmission Survey Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled individual to join our team as a Surveyor with expertise in transmission surveying in hilly terrain, prop setting with leg extension, and handling of total station. As a Surveyor, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and precise surveying support for our engineering and construction projects, ensuring the successful execution of complex transmission line projects in challenging terrains.
Responsibilities:
- Transmission Survey Expertise: Utilize your specialized knowledge and experience in conducting transmission line surveys in hilly terrains, including identifying route alignments, establishing boundary points, and conducting topographic surveys.
- Prop Setting with Leg Extension: Demonstrate proficiency in prop setting with leg extension techniques, ensuring the accurate and stable placement of surveying equipment in challenging terrain conditions to maintain precision and reliability of survey data.
- Total Station Operations: Perform precise measurements and data collection using total station equipment, ensuring the accuracy of survey data for critical aspects of the construction process, such as alignment verification, elevation monitoring, and as-built surveys.
- Survey Planning and Execution: Contribute to the development and implementation of survey plans for transmission line projects, including conducting pre-construction surveys, establishing control points, and providing accurate measurements for the layout and construction of transmission infrastructure.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that surveying activities align with project requirements, timelines, and quality standards.
- Compliance and Safety: Adhere to company standards, industry regulations, and safety protocols while performing surveying activities to mitigate risks and maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field, with 7+ years’ experience.
- Proven experience in surveying for transmission line projects, with a focus on hilly terrain and prop setting with leg extension techniques.
Proficiency in operating and maintaining total station equipment, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of surveying principles, geodetic calculations, and land surveying practices, particularly in challenging terrain environments.
- Ability to work effectively in physically demanding conditions, including hilly and rugged terrain.
- Commitment to upholding safety protocols and ensuring compliance

- First aider Lead auditor ISO 9001: 2015 / ISO 14001: 2015 / ISO 45001: 2018
- Sustainability & ESG reporting will be an adding advantage
Responsibilities:
- As Lead for HSE Excellence, you shall coordinate for all HSE related functions and activities for smooth execution of works.
- Ensure and maintain a focus on HSE requirements as per defined standards (system) and contract terms.
- Provide support to ensure a safe, clean and environmentally compliant work environment and building a safety culture.
- Monitor continuously for zero incidents and zero waste across JSL / Plants and report.
- Review and ensure update of all System documentation, SOPs, control plans, work instructions and other procedures in line with ISO System requirements as well as related to technical operation of Transmission line, factory production lines, identify and mitigate SHE risks with effective implementation.
- Adhere to and continuously improve all SHE Policies, procedures and standards/CA/investigations and analysis of incidents/accidents if any, and publish reports.
- Plan and implement internal audits, and MRM and external system certifications.
- Coordinate with Projects and Plant for effective system certifications down the line.
- Develop and train the team on HSE and effectiveness.
- MIS for MRM – monthly/weekly reviews reports and analysis.
- Implement best HSE practices and documentation in HSE Awards for Corporate image building along with Corp QSHE Head.
- Support to drive continual improvements in HSE across JSL.
